HIGH HOLIDAYS

In our socially distanced world, students across Georgia are relying on Hillel for access to Jewish community and experiences during the High Holidays and throughout the year. Your generous support allows us to continue to offer connections and programs to meet Jewish students' interests while keeping them safe and healthy.

HINENI CAMPAIGN

The Hineni Campaign is Hillel of Georgia's student giving campaign. We ask our students to stand with Hillel and say with us, “Hineni, I am here.” In giving what they can, student gifts to the Hineni Campaign demonstrate the lasting power of Hillel on campus.

ALUMNI

Jeremy Lichtig

Campus Director

HillelUGA

Dear Alumni of HillelUGA,

I hope this note finds you well, healthy and safe, for those of you that do not know me my name is Jeremy Lichtig and I am the new Campus Director at Hillel UGA. For years I have worked with the Hillel UGA community and I am so excited to step into this new role!

Let me be the first to welcome all graduates of HillelUGA to our Alumni portal.  As a graduate, HillelUGA considers you family.  We want to stay connected to encourage you and walk side-by-side with you on your journey.

This portal will be used to update you on everything going on with HillelUGA. My goal is to have a communication network among the alumni to spread good news and update you on all the things we are doing in Athens to continue to help students develop a Jewish identity and a connection to Israel.

We hope that you will take advantage of this portal and stay in touch with us, let us know if you arrive in Athens and can join us for Shabbat, know any students at UGA we can reach out to, or just help us spread the word on all that we do at HillelUGA.

We are asking for your testimonials, ideas, support, and community to strengthen and pave the way for others to learn about HillelUGA.

We are proud of our alumni and hope to connect with you soon. All the best!

PARENTS

We are excited to welcome your student to their Jewish home away from home! At Hillel we seek to create an open, inclusive Jewish environment for every student, and our staff will strive to ensure that everyone feels at home as a vital member of our Hillel family.

Parent contributions of any amount are vital for Hillel to engage, support, and inspire every Jewish student on campus. Your support  helps us provide free Jewish programming, kosher Shabbat and holiday meals, leadership opportunities, and so much more!

PARENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The UGA Hillel Parent Leadership Council (PLC) is a small, dedicated group which supports the ongoing advancement of UGA Hillel. PLC members provide feedback, serve as ambassadors, and offer philanthropic support, both personally and through outreach to other stakeholders. Members share a common interest in strengthening Hillel at UGA and enhancing the Jewish student experience.

Members of the Parent Leadership Council:

  • Make a meaningful annual gift to UGA Hillel

  • Participate (in person or remotely) in three PLC meetings annually, receiving updates from UGA Hillel’s director and collaborating on PLC projects

  • When appropriate, organize and/or host events in their home communities designed to build affinity for Hillel among parents, families, and other key stakeholders

  • Provide feedback and guidance about Hillel’s activities and the student experience

  • Attend to the parent experience during key touch points throughout the year

  • Identify opportunities for financial support and connect Hillel to new resources via personal networks and local communities

  • Receive an invitation and preferred seating for Hillels of Georgia’s annual spring event in Atlanta
