Emory Hillel is the focal point for more than 1,500 Jewish undergraduate and graduate students. Our mission is to enrich the lives of these individuals so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. We envision a world where every student is inspired to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel.

Cultural Programming
Emory Hillel brings Jewish culture to life through vibrant experiences that celebrate the creativity, diversity, and traditions of the Jewish people. From music, art, food, and film to holiday celebrations and programs exploring Jewish communities around the world, students are invited to connect with Jewish life in ways that feel meaningful and authentic to them. Whether students arrive deeply connected to their Jewish identity or are just beginning to explore it, our cultural programming offers welcoming opportunities to learn, celebrate, create, and find community.
Israel Programming
Emory Hillel creates thoughtful, engaging opportunities for students to explore Israel’s people, culture, history, politics, and evolving place in Jewish life. Programs range from cultural celebrations and conversations with Israeli peers to expert speakers, educational discussions, travel experiences, and timely events examining current issues. We encourage curiosity, honest questions, and respectful dialogue, giving students the knowledge, relationships, and confidence to develop their own meaningful connections with Israel while thoughtfully engaging with its complexity.
Leadership Programming
At Emory Hillel, students do more than attend programs—they help shape Jewish life on campus. Through leadership roles, fellowships, internships, mentoring, educational opportunities, and hands-on experience developing programs and organizations, students build practical skills while making a meaningful impact on their community. Our leadership programming empowers students to discover their strengths, elevate their voices, and become thoughtful, confident leaders at Emory and beyond.
Student Groups
Emory Hillel supports student-led organizations that allow students to build community around shared interests, talents, and passions. Eagles for Israel creates opportunities for students to celebrate Israel, strengthen campus relationships, and participate in positive and informed Israel engagement. The Political Israel Network at Emory, known as PINE, brings students together to explore Israeli politics, current events, and public policy through thoughtful discussion and educational programming. Chai Tunes, Emory’s Jewish a cappella group, celebrates Jewish identity and community through music and performance. Together, these organizations reflect the energy, creativity, and leadership of Emory’s Jewish students—and prove there is more than one way to find your people at Hillel.
