Hillels of Georgia recently won two 2021 Hermes Creative Awards in the pro bono and electronic media categories.
The international competition “honors the messengers and creators of the information revolution,” according to its website.
“We are thrilled to be recognized for the rich creative talent within our organization,” said Hillels of Georgia CEO Elliot Karp. “These awards are a testament to hard work and passion.”
In the electronic media category, Hillels of Georgia won the gold award for “Hillels of Georgia in Numbers.” The video was created by Georgia Institute of Technology alumna Lucy Kates along with Hillel staff members Renee Harris, Lauren Blazofsky and Merit Pinker. It explores Hillels of Georgia’s successes over the past year and the hope of continuing to engage and grow student participation year after year.
The “Impact of Hillels of Georgia,” created by Emory University student Zoe Friedman, won honorable mention in the pro bono category. Featuring voices from Emory, University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, the video looks at the impact of Hillel on students at college campuses throughout the state.
Each year, judges of the competition “evaluate the creative industry’s best publications, branding collateral, websites, videos, advertising, marketing and communication programs,” the website states. Winners range from individuals to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.
“The competition is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. … As part of its mission, AMCP fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable endeavors.”
